Okay, so pickleball is, like, totally the thing now, right? And I, your girl, have jumped right in – shoes, paddle, the whole shebang! But let’s be real, showing up is half the fun, and looking good while doing it? That’s the other half. So, I started thinking, “What do I even wear to play pickleball?” I mean, it’s gotta be comfy, but also cute, you know?
First off, I scoured the internet. I typed in “women’s pickleball outfits” and scrolled through a ton of stuff. There were so many options! Skirts, shorts, those sporty dresses… it was a lot. But it gave me a good starting point.
Then, I hit up a few sports stores. I tried on a bunch of things. Some were a definite no – too tight, too loose, just not my vibe. But I did find a few pieces that I really liked. A cute, flowy skirt that’s perfect for moving around, and some comfy shorts for when I’m feeling a bit more casual.
- Started with online research.
- Moved on to physical stores.
- Tried on various outfits.
- Found skirts and shorts I liked.
I also picked up a couple of tops. I went for breathable fabrics because, let me tell you, you work up a sweat out there! One is a nice, airy tank top, and the other is a light, long-sleeved shirt for when it’s a bit cooler or if I want some sun protection. That also was another thing I had thought about, sunprotection!
And shoes! Don’t even get me started on shoes. I learned that you need good support for all that side-to-side movement. So, I invested in a decent pair of court shoes. They’re not the cutest, but hey, safety first, right?
My Pickleball Wardrobe
- Flowy skirt
- Comfy shorts
- Airy tank top
- Light, long-sleeved shirt
- Supportive court shoes
So, after all that, I feel pretty good about my pickleball wardrobe. I’ve got options, I’m comfortable, and I think I look pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself. Now, I can focus on actually playing the game and not worrying about what I’m wearing. Winning!
Anyway, that’s my little journey into the world of women’s pickleball outfits. Hope it helps someone out there who’s just starting and feeling a bit lost. Just remember to have fun with it and wear what makes you feel good!
