Okay, so, I’ve been trying to get my hair to look a bit healthier, you know? I kept seeing stuff about apple cider vinegar, and I figured, why not give it a shot? It’s supposed to be good for your hair and scalp. I was skeptical, but hey, it’s cheap and natural.
First, I gathered my stuff. I grabbed a bottle of apple cider vinegar from the kitchen, it is just the regular kind you use for cooking, nothing fancy. I also needed a spray bottle, some water, and my regular shampoo and conditioner. I mixed up the ACV with water in the spray bottle. I think I used about one part ACV to three parts water. It didn’t need to be exact, just diluted it a bit.
I hopped in the shower and wet my hair like usual. Then, I started spraying the ACV mixture all over my scalp, making sure to get it everywhere. It smelled a bit strong, like vinegar obviously, but it wasn’t too bad. I massaged it into my scalp for a few minutes. It felt kind of tingly, which I guess means it was working. Some people say it’s like a bodyguard for your scalp. I could see that.
- Wet hair thoroughly.
- Spray ACV mixture on scalp.
- Massage for a few minutes.
Then, I rinsed it out really well with just water. After that, I washed my hair with my regular shampoo and conditioner, just to make sure all the vinegar smell was gone. I did not want to walk around smelling like a salad, haha. I continued my shower routine as I would normally do.
Once I got out and my hair dried, I could actually tell a difference. It felt cleaner, like really clean, and it looked shinier too. I think it’s because the ACV helped get rid of all the buildup from products and stuff. It’s like it cleaned out all the junk from my scalp. This is what they mean when they say it helps balance the pH level. My hair has never felt so light and bouncy. I read somewhere that ACV can also help with scalp irritation and has antibacterial properties. I don’t know about all that, but my scalp did feel less itchy than usual.
The Verdict
Honestly, I was surprised at how well this worked. It was such a simple thing, but it made a noticeable difference in how my hair felt and looked. I’m definitely going to keep doing this, maybe once a week or so, just to keep my hair and scalp feeling fresh. It’s pretty easy to implement.
