Alright, let’s talk about this juice press soup thing, you know? I heard folks sayin’ it’s healthy and all, but I gotta see for myself what the fuss is about. I ain’t no fancy city gal, so I’ll tell ya straight, the way I see it.
First off, they got all sorts of stuff in there. Like, one of ’em has got this cacao, that’s chocolate, right? And blueberries, which is nice, I like them in my pies. Then there’s this plant protein, somethin’ called pea and pumpkin seed. Sounds like somethin’ you feed chickens, but they say it’s good for ya. Almond butter too, I use that sometimes on my toast. Vanilla and cinnamon, those I know, put ’em in my cakes.
But then they start gettin’ all fancy with maca and flax fiber. What in the tarnation is that? And mesquite? Isn’t that what they use to smoke meat? Chicory fiber, sounds like rabbit food. Stevia leaf, that’s the sweet stuff, I guess, like sugar. And almond milk, not real milk, mind you. All mixed together, they say it gives you 20g of protein. That’s a lot, I reckon, more than a whole chicken leg, probably.
They got other soups too, with squash and sweet potatoes. Good stuff, those. Quinoa, though, I never heard of that. Kale, yeah, the rabbits like that. Carrots and onions, that’s what I put in my stew. Tahini, no idea. And turmeric and ginger, them spices are good for ya, keeps you from catchin’ a cold, or so they say.
They talk about calorie breakdown. 35% fat, they say. That’s a lot, ain’t it? And 49% carbs, whatever that means. I just wanna know if it’ll fill me up and give me some energy. I ain’t countin’ no calories, never did, never will.
- They say soup’s been around forever, since ancient times. Well, I guess so, everyone eats soup, right? Some got big chunks of meat, that’s the good kind, I tell ya. Others are just broth, like when you boil a chicken bone. Not much to it, but it warms you up.
- I also heard tell you can use some app, somethin’ called Nutritionix Track to see what other folks are eatin’ from this Juice Press. I don’t have one of them fancy phones, so I wouldn’t know. But it sounds like folks are interested in how many calories and all that are in these soups.
- And you can find the menu and reviews for this Juice Press place in New York. New York, that’s a big city, ain’t it? Lots of fancy folks there, I bet they eat all sorts of strange things.
So, this juice press soup, is it good? Well, I don’t know. It’s got some weird stuff in it, that’s for sure. But they say it’s healthy. Maybe it’s good for those city folks who don’t have time to cook real food. Me? I’d rather have a good ol’ bowl of chicken soup with some homemade bread. But hey, to each their own, I always say. If it makes you feel good and gives you energy, then go for it. Just don’t forget your veggies and a good piece of meat, that’s what I say.
Now, if you ask me, good soup is made with love, not all these fancy ingredients you can’t even pronounce. But times are changing, I guess. Folks are always looking for somethin’ new, somethin’ quick. Maybe this juice press soup is the future, who knows? I’m stickin’ to my chicken soup for now, though. At least I know what’s in it.
