Okay, so I’ve been planning this trip to the Amalfi Coast for a while now, and figuring out where to stay was a big part of it. I wanted something nice, but not totally bank-breaking, so I zeroed in on 4-star hotels. Let me tell you, it was a journey!
First off, I hit up the usual suspects – , Tripadvisor, you know the drill. I started browsing through what felt like a million different places. Each website had tons of options, it was seriously overwhelming. I spent hours just scrolling and comparing.
Then I stumbled upon this site called Trivago. What they do is pull listings from a bunch of different sites, so you can see a wider range of prices all at once. That was pretty handy, saved me some time from jumping around so much.
Narrowing It Down
- I started filtering by “4-star” and looking at the pictures and reviews. Some places looked amazing in photos but had iffy reviews. Others had great reviews but the pictures were just “meh.” It was a balancing act, for sure.
- I noticed some names popping up repeatedly: Hotel Miramalfi, Hotel Margherita, Hotel Eden Roc. They all seemed pretty solid, and I dug into them a bit more. Read a bunch of traveler reviews – some good, some bad, you gotta take them all with a grain of salt, right?
- I found that 4 days is enough for me to explore the coast. So I have a good plan.
Digging Deeper
Then, I found out about some other places, too, like Hotel le Rocce in Agerola, Hotel Marina Riviera, and Buca Di Bacco. I cross-referenced them on different sites, checked out their own websites, the whole nine yards. I also found that Atrani is a relatively undiscovered spot for me.
After all that research, comparing prices, reading reviews, and staring at pictures until my eyes blurred, I finally made my decision! I went with a place that had a good balance of everything. But I won’t tell you which one, just kidding! I chose a hotel that was opened in 1904, and many stars stayed there before, such as Brad Pitt. So excited about that! It wasn’t the cheapest, but it definitely felt like the best fit for me. I think this trip is going to be amazing, and finding the right hotel was a big piece of the puzzle. Phew, I’m glad that part’s over!
