Alright, let’s gab about these women’s wedding suits. You know, back in my day, it was all about big ol’ puffy dresses. But these young gals nowadays, they wanna wear the pants! And you know what? I ain’t complainin’. Some of them suits, they look mighty sharp, real classy-like.
So, what’s the big deal with wedding suits for women anyway? Well, first off, they’re comfortable. You ever try wearin’ one of them big ol’ dresses all day? You can barely breathe, let alone dance! A suit, though, that’s somethin’ you can move in. You can shake your groove thang all night long without feelin’ like you’re gonna fall over. And let’s be honest, nobody wants to be lookin’ all uncomfortable and stiff on their wedding day.
Then there’s the style. These ain’t your grandpa’s suits, no sir. They got all sorts of cuts and styles. You got your two-piece suits, that’s your jacket and pants. Then you got your jumpsuits, which is kinda like a one-piece suit, if you can believe it. And you got all sorts of colors too. White is always a good choice, of course, but you can also go for somethin’ bold, like red or even black. I seen some of them fancy magazine pictures with flowers all over them suits too, makes them gals look like a bouquet, real purty.

Now, some folks might say, “Oh, a suit ain’t feminine enough for a wedding.” But I say, hogwash! A woman can look just as beautiful and elegant in a suit as she can in a dress. It’s all about how you wear it, you know? You can accessorize it with some nice jewelry, maybe a pretty scarf. And don’t forget the shoes! High heels, flats, boots – it all depends on what you like. I seen some gals wearin’ them little short boots with their suits, and it looked mighty sassy.
And here’s another thing, wedding suits ain’t just for the brides. Guests can wear ’em too! It’s a nice change from the usual dress thing. But you gotta be careful, you don’t wanna upstage the bride, now. Pick somethin’ that’s nice but not too flashy. Maybe a simple grey suit or a navy one. And for goodness sake, don’t wear white if you ain’t the one gettin’ hitched! That’s just plain rude, like bringin’ a casserole to a potluck and eatin’ the whole dang thing yourself.
But back to the brides. Lots of them are choosin’ suits for all sorts of reasons. Some of ’em just don’t like dresses. Some of ’em want somethin’ different. And some of ’em want somethin’ that shows off their personality. A wedding suit, it can say a lot about a person. It can say you’re strong, you’re confident, you’re independent. It can say you ain’t afraid to be yourself. And that’s what’s important, ain’t it? Bein’ yourself.
And let me tell you, these suits, they ain’t cheap. But then again, what part of a wedding is cheap these days? You gotta pay for the flowers, the food, the photographer, the whole shebang. But if you’re gonna splurge on somethin’, might as well splurge on somethin’ you’re gonna wear again. A suit, you can wear it to other events, not just your wedding. You can wear it to a job interview, to a fancy dinner, even to church if you want. It’s an investment, you see?
So, if you’re thinkin’ about wearin’ a suit to your wedding, or even if you’re just lookin’ for somethin’ different to wear to a special occasion, I say go for it! Don’t let nobody tell you what you can and can’t wear. It’s your day, you wear what makes you happy. And if that means wearin’ a pantsuit, then you go ahead and rock that pantsuit. You’ll look beautiful, I guarantee it. Just remember to stand up straight, put your shoulders back, and smile. And for Pete’s sake, don’t forget the underwear!
Now, I ain’t no fashion expert, that’s for sure. I’m just an old lady who’s seen a whole lotta weddings in my time. And I gotta say, I’m impressed with these modern brides. They’re not afraid to break the rules, to do things their own way. And that, to me, is the most beautiful thing of all. So you go out there, find yourself a good suit, and have a wonderful wedding, ya hear? And don’t forget to invite me, I like cake!
