Alright, let’s talk about this Kate Spade Marie bag, or whatever fancy name they give it. I ain’t no expert, ya know, but I know what I like and what I don’t like, and I’ll tell ya what I think about these bags.
First off, who’s this Kate Spade anyway? Sounds like a made-up name to me. But I guess she makes these here purses, and folks seem to like ‘em. They say she started way back when, a little gal from some place… Missouri, I think it was. Went to school and all that, and then bam! She’s makin’ bags. Good for her, I guess. Folks gotta make a livin’ somehow.
Now, about these Marie bags. I seen some pictures online – you know, on that inter-web thing my grandson showed me. They look… well, they look alright, I reckon. Some are plain, some got little patterns. They got all sorts of colors, too. Pink, black, blue, you name it. I even seen one with stripes! Can you believe it? Stripes on a purse!
- Colors: Like I said, they got all sorts of colors. Enough to make your head spin, if you ask me.
- Sizes: Some are big, some are small. Big enough to carry your groceries, I guess, or small enough just for your wallet and keys. Makes sense, I suppose. Different folks need different sizes.
- Styles: Now, this is where it gets tricky. Some are plain and simple, just one color. Others got little dangly things hangin’ off ‘em, or little metal thingamajigs with the name on ‘em. Some even got bows! Bows, I tell ya! On a grown woman’s purse!
They say young folks like these bags. The young’uns, 18 to 34 years old or somethin’ like that. I guess they got different tastes than us old folks. They like to travel and read books, and they’re all independent and whatnot. At least that’s what I heard. Maybe these bags make ‘em feel fancy, I don’t know.
One thing I did hear is that these bags ain’t cheap. No sirree! You gotta shell out some serious cash for one of these things. And they say you gotta make sure it’s a real one, too. Apparently, there’s fakes out there, tryin’ to trick folks. They say you gotta look for a little number inside, on a piece of leather. That number tells you it’s the real McCoy. Imagine that! Counterfeiting purses! What will they think of next?
Why do folks like ‘em so much? I ain’t quite sure. Maybe it’s the name, maybe it’s the colors, maybe it’s just the way they look. They say this Kate Spade lady, she makes all sorts of things, not just bags. Wallets, jewelry, all sorts of girly stuff. And I heard she liked pink, that’s why so many of her things is pink. Well, pink ain’t my color, but to each their own, I say.
I heard some folks say they use these bags every day, for years, and they still look good. Well, that’s somethin’ at least. If you’re gonna spend your hard-earned money on somethin’, it better last a while. Nobody wants a purse that falls apart after a few months.
So, would I buy one of these Kate Spade Marie bags? Probably not. I got my old trusty purse, and it does the job just fine. But if you’re young and fancy, and you got the money to spend, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have one. Just make sure it’s a real one, and don’t go buyin’ one with stripes, unless you want folks lookin’ at you funny.
At the end of the day, a purse is just a purse. It holds your stuff. But I guess for some folks, it’s more than that. It’s a way to show off, maybe, or to feel good about themselves. And if a Kate Spade Marie bag can do that for ya, then more power to ya, I say.
