Okay, so today I was kinda bored and my friend, she’s like, totally into this guy, right? And she’s been waiting and waiting for him to pop the question. So, we got to thinking, how can we figure out if he’s actually gonna propose or not? That’s where this whole thing started.
First, we brainstormed some ideas. We were like, okay, what are the signs? Does he talk about the future? Does he get all weird when we mention weddings? We made a list of all the things we could think of that might mean he’s thinking about proposing.
Things We Figured Might Be Clues
- Started talking about “we” a lot more, like, “we should go here,” “we should do that.” You know?
- Got a little more interested in our couple friends who are already married. Asking them stuff about their weddings and all that.
- Started saving money like crazy. Maybe even mentioned a “big purchase” coming up.
- Became super nosy about ring sizes. Like, out of nowhere, just asking about jewelry. That’s gotta mean something.
- Planned a fancy date or a trip. Something out of the ordinary, you know, special occasion type stuff.
So, then we decided to put these theories to the test. We started observing him more closely. It was like a secret mission, kinda fun, actually. We paid attention to how he talked, what he said, and what he did when the topic of marriage or the future came up.
We even casually brought up some wedding-related stuff in conversations, just to see how he’d react. Like, “Oh, did you see so-and-so’s engagement ring? It’s huge!” Stuff like that. We watched his face, looked for any little sign that he was thinking about the same thing.
After a few weeks of this, we gathered all our “data,” as we called it. We sat down and analyzed everything. Did he do any of the things on our list? Did his reactions give anything away? It was like putting together a puzzle. He did the first and second things we mentioned in our list. Especially, he asked a lot of things about our friends’ wedding details. He also planned a fancy date with my friend, I mean, it is really out of the ordinary!
In the end, we concluded that there’s a pretty good chance he’s thinking about proposing. He showed a lot of the signs we were looking for. Of course, we can’t know for sure until it actually happens, but it was a fun experiment. And my friend? She’s even more excited now, let me tell you!
So, yeah, that’s how we spent our day – playing detective and trying to figure out if a proposal was on the horizon. It was a good time, and we learned a thing or two about paying attention to the little details. Who knows, maybe we’ll become professional proposal predictors or something. Haha, just kidding! Maybe.
