Okay, so, like a lot of you, I’ve been on this never-ending quest to find a deodorant that actually works, but, you know, doesn’t leave those nasty yellow stains on my shirts. It’s been a struggle, seriously. I’ve tried so many brands, it’s ridiculous. Most of them were a total fail. They either didn’t stop the sweat, or they left my clothes looking like I’d been wrestling with a mustard bottle.
First, I started hitting up all the usual suspects, the ones you see advertised on TV all the time. Nope. Didn’t work. Then I got desperate and started looking into the “all-natural” stuff. Big mistake. I smelled like a walking patchouli factory, and my clothes were still getting stained. Ugh.
Then, I remembered my mom always used Nivea for everything, so I figured I’d give their deodorant a shot. I found this one called “Nivea Black & White” and the label said it was specifically designed to not mark up your clothes. I was skeptical, to say the least, but I bought it anyway.
I started using it, and honestly, I was pretty impressed. First off, it actually kept me from sweating, which is a major win. And then, the real test – I wore a white shirt. I checked it at the end of the day, and guess what? No stains! Seriously, nothing. I was like, “Finally!”
I also learned a few tricks along the way about how to get rid of those old, stubborn stains. Turns out, you can use some basic stuff you probably already have in your kitchen. Like, I tried:
- Baking soda: I made a paste with water and rubbed it on the stain. Let it sit for a while, then washed it out.
- Lemon juice: I squeezed some on the stain and let it sit in the sun for a bit.
- White vinegar: I soaked the stained area in it for about an hour before washing.
These actually worked pretty well on some of my older shirts. It did not work very well on a few of them, but they were really old shirts. I guess the stain was already there for too long. Anyway, I’ve been using the Nivea stuff for a while now, and I’m a convert. I also tried a brand called “Suave”, and it also worked pretty well, to my surprise. My clothes are staying clean, and I’m not stinking up the place. It’s a win-win!
So yeah, that’s my deodorant journey. It took a while, but I finally found something that works. If you’re struggling with the same problem, maybe give Nivea Black & White or Suave a try. And try those stain removal tricks – they might save some of your favorite shirts!
