Okay, so, I recently dived into this whole thing about Allison Closner. You know, just one of those random deep dives you do late at night when you can’t sleep? Yeah, that was me a few nights ago. I stumbled upon this name, Allison Closner, and I was like, “Who’s that?” So, I started digging.
First off, I just Googled her name, plain and simple. Boom! Turns out, she’s part of this indie folk band called Joseph. Not alone, though. She’s got her two sisters, Meegan and Natalie, in on it too. Family affair, I guess! They’re calling Allison the “Folk Singer,” which, you know, sounds pretty cool.
I found out she’s, like, 33. Still pretty young, but already making waves, it seems. I’m always amazed by people who find their passion early on and just go for it, you know? Anyway, I kept scrolling through these search results, and there’s a bunch of stuff about her, but it’s all mixed up with this other Allison—Allison Holker. Turns out, they’re not the same person. Holker is more into the dance scene, and there’s a lot about her late husband, Stephen “tWitch” Boss. Tragic stuff, really. It’s weird how the internet can jumble things up like that.
But back to Closner. I wanted to know more about her music, so I looked for this band, Joseph. Didn’t find a ton of specifics on Allison herself, mostly just general stuff about the band and how they started. It got me thinking, though, about how these three sisters are making music together.
There’s this one bit where they’re talking about starting the band, and they can’t even decide who should begin the story. It’s like, “Meegan, no you, no you,” kind of playful banter. It made me chuckle. These sisters, they have this nonchalant way about them, especially Natalie. It’s kind of endearing, in a way. Makes them seem down-to-earth, despite being in the spotlight.
So, after a few hours of this, I realized I hadn’t really learned a whole lot about Allison Closner, the individual. It’s more about her as part of Joseph, this trio of singing sisters. But, you know what? It was still a fun little research adventure. It’s always cool to discover new music and the people behind it. And who knows, maybe I’ll get into their music now. I mean, why not, right? Folk music on a chill Sunday morning sounds pretty good to me.
Anyway, that’s my little story about my late-night internet adventure with Allison Closner. Maybe not the most informative, but hey, it’s the journey, not just the destination, right?
