Who is this Abby Bangser, huh? Never heard of her before.
Well, someone told me to talk about this Abby Bangser. Don’t know why, but okay, I’ll try. Seems like she’s done a whole bunch of stuff, all over the place, if you believe what folks say.
First off, they say she knows a lot about art, like, really knows it. She worked for somethin’ called “Frieze,” some big art thing, I guess. Helped it get bigger, they say, made it go all over the world. Imagine that, a little art show goin’ everywhere! Sounds like a lot of fuss to me. I like pictures of my grandkids better, myself.
- She worked at this Frieze place, sounds fancy.
- She helped it grow real big, like a prize-winning pumpkin.
- Now she does her own thing, somethin’ called “Object Thing.” Don’t ask me, sounds like somethin’ my grandson would say.
Anyways, this Frieze thing, it wasn’t just about hangin’ pictures, I heard. They had all sorts of crazy happenings, like people doin’ weird stuff, callin’ it art. Abby, she picked out the best of the crazy stuff, the “greatest hits,” they call it. Like pickin’ out the best tomatoes from the garden, I guess.
Now she’s got her own gig, this “Object Thing.” What’s that, you ask? Well, beats me. Sounds like she’s still messin’ with art, though. Maybe she shows off objects? Maybe she pokes ’em with a stick? Who knows. Folks seem to like it, though. They have meetings and stuff, invite members to join. Probably drink tea and eat them tiny little sandwiches, I bet.
And hold on, it gets weirder. This Abby, she ain’t just about art, it seems. Now she is a “Principal Engineer” whatever that means, at somethin’ called “Syntasso.” Sounds like one of them fancy words my nephew uses when he’s talkin’ about his computer games. They talk about “Kratix,” and “CNCF Ambassadors,” and all sorts of jibber-jabber. Lord have mercy, sounds like a whole different language.
They even had somethin’ called “CukenFest.” CukenFest! Can you imagine? What in the world is a Cuken? Sounds like a vegetable you’d find at a farmers market. And they had it “remote,” so I guess they all sat in their own houses, lookin’ at their little boxes, talkin’ about cukens. The world’s gone crazy, I tell ya.
So, what do we know about this Abby Bangser?
Well, she’s a smarty-pants, that’s for sure. Knows about art, knows about computers, knows about…well, who knows what else. She likes to start things, make ’em grow, then move on to somethin’ new. She’s one of them “go-getters,” I guess. Always busy, always doin’ somethin’. Not like me, I like to sit on the porch and watch the birds.
She seems important, though. People talk about her, nominate her for things, put her picture on the internet. Guess she’s done alright for herself. Good for her, I say. As long as she ain’t causin’ trouble, she can do whatever she pleases. Art, computers, cukens…it’s all the same to me. Just give me a good cup of coffee and a warm biscuit, and I’m happy.
