Okay, so, I’ve always had this problem with my hair. It’s naturally kinda wavy, but not in a good way. More like, “I stuck my finger in an electrical socket” way. It gets super frizzy, especially when it’s humid outside. I used to try lots of different products, and nothing really worked well.
One day, I saw a friend, her hair was always so smooth, I asked her about the secret. She told me about using some specific shampoo and conditioner to fight frizz. She said that L’Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair Shampoo and Conditioner is good for her hair. I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
I started using this shampoo and conditioner a few weeks ago, I washed my hair with the shampoo, made sure to massage it into my scalp and through the lengths of my hair. Then, I rinsed it out and followed up with the conditioner. I left the conditioner in for a few minutes before rinsing, just like the instructions said. I kept doing this every time I washed my hair, which is like, two or three times a week.
Honestly, I noticed a difference after the first wash, but I continued to use it for a few weeks to see the full effect. My hair became much softer and smoother. But the frizz was still there, just a little bit less than before, not totally gone. I guessed maybe it’s not the right product for me.
Trying a Different Brand
I didn’t give up though. I remembered another product, Redken Frizz Dismiss Shampoo, which is for combating frizz in humid conditions. I decided to switch things up and tried this one.
The routine was pretty much the same. Shampoo first, then the conditioner. This time, I felt a more noticeable difference in terms of frizz control. My hair was getting easier to manage, and it looked healthier. Even when it was a bit damp outside, my hair didn’t immediately puff up like it used to. However, on really humid days, it still got a bit frizzy.
Another Option
I did some more digging and found out about Aussie Frizz Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner. I saw “eucalyptus” on the package and I was like, “Okay, that sounds interesting.”
I switched to this one and followed the same process. Shampoo, conditioner, rinse. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. This one seems to work the best for my hair. It keeps the frizz under control, even on those humid days that used to be my hair’s worst nightmare. It’s not 100% perfect, like, if it’s super rainy, I’ll still get a little bit of frizz, but it’s way better than before.
So, after trying a few different things, I think I finally found a shampoo and conditioner that works for my frizzy hair. It took some trial and error, but it was worth it. My hair feels softer, looks smoother, and I don’t have to worry about looking like a mess every time I step outside when it’s humid.
- First, I tried L’Oreal Paris Elvive Total Repair, it made my hair softer but didn’t completely solve the frizz.
- Then I tried Redken Frizz Dismiss, it worked better for controlling frizz, especially in slightly humid weather.
- Finally, I tried Aussie Frizz Miracle with eucalyptus, and this one seems to be the winner for me, it keeps my hair smooth even on most humid days.
I guess what works for one person might not work for another, It’s all about finding what suits your hair type. I’m just glad I finally figured out something that helps me manage my frizzy hair situation.
