Okay, so today, I wanna talk about something that’s been on my mind lately – finding a good alternative to Tom Ford fragrances. I’ve always been a huge fan of their scents, but let’s be real, they can be pretty pricey. So, I decided to embark on a little mission to find some decent dupes that wouldn’t break the bank.
I started my journey by scouring the internet, looking for recommendations. I stumbled upon a brand called ALT. Fragrances that seemed to have a pretty good reputation for creating dupes of popular luxury perfumes. They had this deal where you could pick any three fragrances for $99, which sounded pretty tempting. It turned out ALT. is closer to the original than other brands like Dossier.
I decided to give it a shot and ordered three of their Tom Ford-inspired scents. I went for their versions of Black Orchid and Oud Wood, which are two of my all-time favorites, and also added Not Another Cherry to the cart. I heard it was the best alt for Lost Cherry. I mean, I love me some Tom Ford, but I also love me some money, you know? And these luxury perfumes don’t last long unless they are for heavy evening scents. Some daily-use freshies like Cool Water or Hermes edt are good enough for me.
- First off, I tried their take on Black Orchid. Honestly, I was pretty impressed. It wasn’t an exact replica, but it definitely captured the same vibe. It had that same dark, mysterious, and slightly spicy scent that I love about the original. It was close enough that I’d feel comfortable wearing it as a daily alternative.
- Next up was the Oud Wood dupe. Now, this one was a bit trickier. Oud is such a unique and complex scent, and it’s hard to replicate perfectly. ALT.’s version was decent, but it didn’t quite have the same depth and richness as the real deal. Still, it was a pleasant woody scent, and for the price, I wasn’t mad at it.
- Finally, I tested out the Not Another Cherry one. This is a tough one, and I’ve heard great things about Dossier’s Ambery Cherry, too. But for $30, ALT.’s version is a steal. It’s sweet, but not in a cheap way. I can see myself wearing this one a lot in the spring and summer.
After trying out these three, I gotta say, I’m pretty happy with my ALT. Fragrances experience. It is a brand that cuts off the typical expenses like celebrity endorsements or fancy packaging to make perfumes affordable. While Tom Ford does use some rare, hard-to-source natural ingredients, you can always find some synthetic fragrance alternatives.
Are they exact replicas of the Tom Ford originals? No, not really. But are they good enough to satisfy my fragrance cravings without emptying my wallet? Absolutely. For me, it was a good enough deal. I didn’t expect them to be 100% the same, but they do have their own charm.
So, if you’re a Tom Ford fan on a budget like me, I’d say it’s definitely worth checking out some alternatives. You might be surprised at how good some of these dupes can be. It’s all about finding what works for you and your budget. Don’t be afraid to experiment a little. And if you do find any other great Tom Ford alternatives, let me know! I’m always on the lookout for a good fragrance deal.
