This old lady, I gotta say, my eyes ain’t what they used to be. But I still like to look nice, you know? So I heard about these things, these Air Optix Colors. They’re like, little colored things you put on your eyes. My eyes are dark brown, real dark, like the mud after a good rain. And I thought, maybe these things can make my eyes look a little different. Maybe a little brighter. So, I went on and got some.
Trying Them Air Optix Colors
Now, these Air Optix Colors, they come in all sorts of colors. Like that blue they have, you know, the color of the sky when it’s real clear. And green, like the grass in the spring. They even got gray, kind of like storm clouds. But I wanted to see what would work best on my dark brown eyes.
Putting them in, well, that took a little doing. I had my daughter help me the first time. It’s like trying to put a tiny little bowl on your eye. But once you get the hang of it, it ain’t so bad. I chose to try the gemstone green, honey, pure hazel, and brilliant blue. The brilliant blue is a bit bright for me, while the gemstone green is my favorite. I used them for about 13 hours that day, and they were not uncomfortable, but my eyes are old and a little dry, so I used eye drops.
Different Colors on My Dark Brown Eyes
- Blue: That blue, it was something. On my dark eyes, it looked, well, kind of like the sky peeking through the trees. Not too bright, but you could see it. It was kind of nice, I guess. I think I’m more like a green person.
- Green: The green ones, those were my favorite. They made my eyes look like, I don’t know, like a cat’s eyes, maybe. Or like the leaves on the trees in summer. People said I looked real nice with them on.
- Gray: The gray was a little strange. It was like my eyes were a little cloudy. Didn’t look bad, just different. Maybe if you like that kind of look, it’s good. But I like the gemstone green best.
- Honey & Pure Hazel: These two colors are very close and are very suitable for daily wear. They are not obvious and not very different from my own eye color. You can choose either one.
I heard some folks say these Air Optix Colors are good for people with eyes that ain’t the same. Like, you know, if one eye is a little different than the other. I don’t have that problem, but it’s good to know. And they say these things let your eyes breathe. That’s important, I guess, so your eyes don’t get all dried out and itchy. Keeping Them Clean
Now, they tell you to clean these things. That’s important. You don’t want to get no dirt or germs in your eyes. They got this special liquid you use. You put the little colored things in this liquid, and it cleans them all up. You have to soak them for at least eight hours, otherwise it will hurt your eyes. You have to change the liquid every day when you use it. It’s a little troublesome, but it’s worth it.
I just use the stuff they recommend. Seems to work okay. My eyes ain’t been itchy or nothing. It’s really important to keep those things clean if you put something on your eyes. You don’t want no trouble with your eyes.
So, yeah, these Air Optix Colors, they’re okay. Not too bad for an old lady like me. If you’re thinking about it, just give them a try. Might surprise you. And if you got dark brown eyes, don’t worry. They show up pretty good. Especially the green ones, they are real good. But the honey and pure hazel ones are more natural.
