Well, let me tell ya, this here “Simple Favor” movie, it’s got some fancy clothes, the kind you don’t see every day ’round here. Them city folks, they sure do like to dress up.
Them fancy pants and such
I saw them women in the movie, wearin’ them… what do you call ’em… structured trousers? And them… elegant heels? My goodness, they must be hard to walk in. But they looked real… polished. Like they ain’t never done a day of hard work in their lives. I tell ya, if I wore them heels in the fields, I’d be sinkin’ in the mud faster than a rock in a well. Anyways, them clothes, they call ’em “business casual,” I think. Sounds fancy, but it just means they dress up even when they ain’t goin’ to church.
Crazy movie, crazy clothes
Now, this movie, it was a bit… bonkers, like they say. This woman, Emily, or Faith, or whatever her name was, she was a piece of work. And the clothes, they were just as crazy as she was. One minute she’s wearin’ somethin’ all prim and proper, the next she’s dressed like… well, like one of them playboy fellas. You know, the ones that like to… never you mind. It was all a bit much for an old woman like me, but I guess that’s what they call “edgy” these days.
Express yourself, they say
They got this store, Express, I hear. They sell them trendy clothes, the kind them young folks like. They say you can find some good deals there, clothes that’ll last you a long time. But I tell ya, I don’t need no fancy clothes. My old overalls and my sturdy boots, they do me just fine. But if you’re into that kinda thing, I guess Express is the place to go. They got new stuff comin’ in all the time, they say.
- Stick to what you know
- Buy good stuff that lasts
- Find a bargain when you can
That’s what I always say. Don’t go chasin’ after every new fashion that comes along. Find what you like, what looks good on you, and stick with it. And don’t go spendin’ all your money on fancy clothes. Buy somethin’ that’ll last, somethin’ that’s well-made. And if you can find a good deal, well, that’s just the cherry on top.
That Emily, she sure dressed funny
This Emily girl, she was somethin’ else. They said she dressed up all fancy for her “press tour.” That’s when they go around talkin’ about the movie, I guess. She wore all kinds of outfits, some of ’em real strange. But I guess that’s what they wanted, to get folks talkin’. And talk they did, let me tell ya.
Francesca’s, another fancy store
Then there’s this other store, Francesca’s. They got all kinds of clothes, dresses, sweaters, jewelry, even shoes. And gifts too! They say it’s a “boutique,” whatever that means. Sounds expensive to me. They even give you free shippin’ if you spend enough money. But I ain’t buyin’ nothin’ online. I like to see what I’m gettin’ before I hand over my hard-earned cash.
The whole shebang was about money, ya know
Now, this whole movie, it was all about money, far as I could tell. This Emily, she pretended to be dead so she and her husband could get out of debt. Can you believe that? And then it turns out she had a twin sister! It was all so confusin’. And there was another woman, a… love interest, they called her. It was all a bit… queer, like they say. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, mind you. But it was just strange, the way them women were so obsessed with each other.
Was it a real story? Nah.
And they say it ain’t even a true story! Imagine that. All that drama, all them fancy clothes, and it was all made up. Well, I guess that’s what movies are for, to entertain us, even if they don’t make a lick of sense. But I tell ya, them city folks, they sure do live in a different world than us country folk. With their fancy clothes and their crazy stories, they’re somethin’ else.
