Okay, so I’ve been on the hunt for some comfy, but stylish, flats in size 12. It’s not always easy to find cute shoes in larger sizes, you know?
First, I started browsing online. I checked out a bunch of different stores, trying to get a feel for what styles are out there. I noticed that pointed-toe flats seem to be everywhere right now. They look pretty chic, but a lot of reviews said to size up since they can be a bit snug. Good to know!
Then I started thinking about what I’d actually wear these flats with. I realized that longer skirts and dresses might not be the best match since flats can sometimes make your legs look shorter. So, I’ll probably stick to wearing them with shorter hemlines or pants.
I also dove into the different types of flats. Ballet flats, Mary Janes, mules, loafers… so many choices! I read somewhere that loafers are great for work, which is perfect because I definitely need some comfy shoes for the office.
I found this brand, Margaux, that makes a really nice pointed-toe flat. It’s a bit dressier, but it looks super comfy. They had this other one, Rothy’s The Flat, but they only go up to size 10. Too bad. Then I found another one, Saidoteto Women’s Ballet Flats, that looks super comfy too, and has my size. They come in gray, which is a color I don’t have in my closet yet.
Material and Comfort
- One thing I paid close attention to was the material. Some of these flats are made with this shiny, metallic material that’s really trendy right now. I’m not sure if it’s my style, but it’s definitely eye-catching.
- Comfort is key for me, so I made sure to read reviews about the insoles and footbeds. I saw a lot of brands mentioning padded insoles and cushioned footbeds, which sounds amazing.
Narrowing Down My Choices
- I think I’ve narrowed it down to a few options. I’m leaning towards the Margaux ones for a dressier look and maybe a pair of loafers for work. This online store called DSW has a pretty good selection of size 12 flats, so I might check them out in person. I also found a good pair on an online shop with a bunch of color choices.
- Ultimately, I want something that’s versatile, comfortable, and, of course, stylish. Fingers crossed, I can find the perfect pair!
So yeah, that’s my journey to find the perfect size 12 flats so far. It’s been a bit of a process, but I’m learning a lot about what to look for. Hopefully, I’ll have an update soon with my final decision!
