Okay, so I have this little thing I’ve been working on. It’s called “Alyssa Clothing,” and honestly, it’s been quite the journey. I wanted to share how I got it all going, from the first idea to actually having something to show.
Getting Started
First off, I started by just jotting down ideas. What did I want this “Alyssa Clothing” to be about? I’m really into fashion that’s a little bit different, you know? Something that stands out but is still totally wearable. So, I made a bunch of notes and sketches. I filled pages with designs that felt right.
Finding My Style
Then, I spent a lot of time looking at fabrics. I went to every fabric store in town, feeling the textures, seeing how they drape. I was looking for materials that felt good and looked great. I ended up picking a few that I really loved, some soft cotton, and a few pieces of silk that just felt luxurious.
Making It Real
Next, I had to actually make the clothes. This part was a mix of excitement and a whole lot of “oops” moments. I dusted off my old sewing machine, and after a few messed-up attempts, I started to get the hang of it. I made a few dresses and skirts to start, each one a little better than the last.
- Started with a simple A-line dress.
- Then tried a wrap skirt, which was trickier than I thought!
- Finally made a few pieces with the silk I found, which was a whole other challenge.
Spreading The Word
After I had a small collection, I thought, “Why not share this with others?” So, I set up an Instagram account, . It was a bit slow at first, but I started posting pictures of the clothes, sharing little stories about each piece. Slowly but surely, people started to notice. I even got a few sales, which was so exciting!
What’s Next?
I’m still figuring things out, but it’s been an amazing experience. I’m planning to keep designing and making more clothes. It’s a lot of work, but seeing something you made from scratch come to life is such a great feeling. I’m also thinking of maybe selling on other platforms, but I’m taking it one step at a time. Just enjoying the process and seeing where this little adventure takes me.
So yeah, that’s my story about “Alyssa Clothing” so far. It’s simple, it’s personal, and it’s something I’m really passionate about. Hope you enjoyed hearing about it!
