Okay, so, I gotta tell you about this Anastasia Spice Matte Lipstick I’ve been trying out. I’m always on the lookout for good lipsticks, you know, something that looks good and lasts long. I’m not really a makeup expert, just someone who likes to look put together. Anyway, I got this Anastasia Beverly Hills lipstick in the shade “Spice” a while back, It is a beautiful color. I think it was about $18, not the cheapest, but not crazy expensive either.
I applied it in the morning before I went out to run some errands. It went on pretty smoothly, felt nice on my lips. The color is like a medium, kind of rosy-brown. I’d say it’s good for everyday wear or even for something a bit more dressy.
First, I went to the grocery store. I was there for about an hour, pushing the cart, picking up stuff, the usual. After that, I met a friend for lunch. We went to this little cafe, and I had a sandwich and some coffee. I was talking a lot, eating, drinking, and the lipstick was still there. It didn’t feel dry or anything, which is a big plus for me.
- Checked out the color in different lighting.
- Applied it carefully, didn’t need a lip liner.
- Went about my day, eating, drinking, talking.
My Findings
By the end of the day, the color had faded a bit, but it was still noticeable. I didn’t reapply it at all, and I was out for about 6 hours. Honestly, I was pretty impressed. It’s not every day that you find a lipstick that can survive a meal and still look decent. I’ve heard people talk about finding a “dupe” for this, which is like a cheaper version of the same thing. I haven’t really looked into that yet, but it might be worth checking out. There’s this one from Kat Von D, called “K-Dub,” that’s supposed to be similar, but I haven’t tried it myself.
All in all, I’d say this Anastasia Spice Matte Lipstick is a good one. It’s comfortable to wear, the color is pretty, and it lasts a decent amount of time. It’s not a miracle worker or anything, but it does the job. If you’re looking for a new matte lipstick to try, I’d say give this one a shot. It has been discontinued around 2 years ago, that’s a little bit sad, but you could try to find some lipstick dupes, maybe you can find something you like in other brands.
