Okay, so, I’ve been trying out this aloe vera hair conditioner thing, and I gotta say, it’s been quite the ride. I heard some people saying aloe vera is like, the best thing ever for your hair, so I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I got my hands on some aloe vera. I’ve seen these plants around, and they’re pretty common. It’s all green and spiky. I chopped off a leaf – felt a bit bad doing that, but hey, it’s for my hair. I cut it open, and there’s this gooey stuff inside. That’s the gel everyone talks about. It felt kinda weird and slimy.
Then, I scooped out all that gel. It was like scooping out jelly or something. I put it in a bowl and started mashing it up. I wanted it to be smooth, not chunky, you know? I used a fork, but I guess a blender would’ve been easier. Anyway, I got it to a pretty smooth consistency after some elbow grease.
I hopped in the shower, washed my hair like I usually do. After rinsing out the shampoo, I grabbed my bowl of aloe vera goop. It was cold! I applied it all over my hair, from the roots to the ends. It felt really cool on my scalp, which was actually kinda nice.
I let it sit there for a while. Some people online said to leave it in for 30 minutes, but I got impatient and rinsed it out after like, 20. I could feel my hair was different even as I was rinsing it. It felt really soft, like, really, really soft. And it was way easier to comb through than usual. No more struggling with knots!
After drying my hair, I noticed it looked shinier. My hair tends to be a bit dull, so this was a nice change. And it stayed soft for a couple of days. I think it’s stronger, too. I heard aloe vera has vitamins and stuff that’s good for your hair, like vitamins A, C, and E. I don’t know much about vitamins, but if it makes my hair look good, I’m all for it.
I’ve been using aloe vera as a conditioner for a few weeks now, and honestly, my hair feels healthier. It’s not falling out as much, and it just feels better overall. Plus, it’s cheap! Way cheaper than those fancy conditioners in the store.
So yeah, that’s my aloe vera conditioner adventure. It’s a bit messy and takes some time, but for me, it’s totally worth it. If you’re looking for a natural way to make your hair softer and shinier, you might want to give aloe vera a try. Just be prepared to get a little gooey!
- Get aloe vera leaf
- Cut and scoop out the gel
- Mash it up real good
- Apply to hair after shampooing
- Wait a bit, then rinse
- Enjoy your soft, shiny hair!
A little note:
I also read somewhere that aloe vera can help with an itchy scalp. I don’t have that problem, but if you do, it might be worth looking into. It’s full of fatty acids and other things that help with hair strength, and can also help it to be softer, too. It seems like aloe vera is pretty great for hair in general.
