Alright, let’s talk about this Juice Press membership thing, you know? I heard folks talkin’ about it, so I figured I’d poke around and see what the fuss is all about. Sounds fancy, but is it worth a hill of beans?
First off, this Juice Press place, it started way back in 2010 by some fella named Marcus Antebi. He opened up his first shop in New York City, that East Village place, and now they got, what, 80-some stores? That’s a whole lotta juice! Then he got his daddy, David, in on the action, gave him his own shop to run. Family business, I guess. Now, some other fella, Michael Karsch, he’s the big boss, the CEO and Chairman. Been doin’ business for 25 years, they say.
So, they sell juice, lots of it. Cold-pressed juice, they call it. Sounds fancy, but I reckon it’s just squeezed real good. They got smoothies too, and acai bowls. Never had one of them acai bowls, sounds like somethin’ the city folk eat. And they got healthy snacks, whatever that means. They say it’s all organic and plant-based, good for fuelin’ your life. Well, I get my fuel from good ol’ corn bread and beans, but to each their own, I say.
Now, this membership thing. It seems like other juice places got ’em too, like that Pressed Juicery. They give you discounts and VIP prices if you sign up. You gotta spend at least 10 dollars a month, they say, and they just charge your card automatically. That sounds like a lot of money for juice to me, but I ain’t one to judge. If folks wanna spend their money on fancy juice, that’s their business.
- You sign up online, make an account.
- If you already had an account, they automatically sign you up for this rewards thing.
- You get points for buyin’ stuff, I guess. More points, more discounts, that’s how it usually works.
So, how do you join this Juice Press membership? Well, I reckon it’s the same as that other place. You go online, make yourself an account on their website. If you already got one, seems like you’re already in, they say you’re automatically enrolled in their loyalty program. Then you start earnin’ points, I guess. Buy juice, get points. Use those points to get more juice, cheaper. Sounds like a whole lotta hoopla to me, but folks seem to like it.
They got all kinds of juices, too. Green juices, fruit juices, all sorts of mixes. And smoothies, like I said. You can order online for pick-up or delivery, or you can go to one of their stores. They even got groceries now, seems like they’re tryin’ to sell everything under the sun. They say it’s all nutrient-dense and plant-based, good for your health. Well, I get my nutrients from my garden, but like I said, to each their own.
Is it worth it? That’s the real question, ain’t it? Well, I reckon it depends on how much juice you drink. If you’re one of them folks who drinks juice every day, then maybe it’s a good deal. You get discounts, you get VIP treatment, whatever that means. But if you’re like me, and you’d rather have a glass of sweet tea, then maybe you’re better off savin’ your money. Ten dollars a month, that’s a lot of money, you know? That could buy you a whole sack of potatoes, or a couple dozen eggs.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Juice Press membership thing. It’s a way to get discounts on fancy juice if you’re willin’ to spend a bit of money each month. If you like juice, and you got the money, then maybe it’s for you. But if you’re like me, and you’d rather stick to the basics, then maybe you’re better off passin’ on this one.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on this juice membership thing. You take it or leave it. At the end of the day, it’s your money, you spend it how you want. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if you end up broke from buyin’ too much juice!
