Alright, let’s talk about this 3CE sebum powder, you know, the stuff they say makes your face less oily. I ain’t no fancy makeup artist, just a regular person trying to figure this stuff out.
First off, what is it? Well, it’s like a powder, real soft and smooth, kinda like baby powder but not exactly. They say it’s got this “sebum catcher powder” in it. Sounds fancy, huh? Basically, it’s supposed to soak up all that extra oil on your face. You know, the stuff that makes you look all shiny and greasy, especially when it’s hot out. I hate that shiny look, makes me feel like I didn’t wash my face good.
Now, they say you can use it for different things. Mostly, it’s for “setting” your makeup. That means you put on all your other stuff, your foundation and what have you, and then you put this powder on top to keep it all in place. Like a lid on a pot, I guess. Keeps things from getting messy.
But you can also use it as a “base powder” they say. That means you put it on before anything else, I think. And they also say it’s an “eye primer.” I ain’t sure about all that primer business. Sounds complicated to me. I just want something to make my face look less oily.
The way they explain it, this powder has these little tiny holes in it, like a sponge maybe, and that’s what soaks up the oil. They call it “porous powder.” Sounds scientific, don’t it? But it makes sense, I guess. If the powder has holes, it can catch the oil, right?
So, how do you use it? They say to put it on at the very end of your “skin care routine.” Now, I don’t have no fancy “skin care routine.” I wash my face, maybe put on a little cream if it’s dry, and that’s it. But I guess you put this on after all that. They say to use a “puff” to put it on, which is like a little fluffy thing. You just dab it all over your face, or wherever you get oily. For me, that’s my forehead and nose, mostly.
What I like about it
- It really does make my face less oily. I mean, it actually works. That’s the most important thing, right?
- It’s easy to use. Even a dummy like me can figure it out. Just dab it on, that’s it.
- It feels nice on my skin. It’s really soft and smooth, not scratchy or anything.
What I don’t like about it
- Sometimes, it can make my face look a little too dry, you know, like powdery. I guess you gotta use just the right amount.
- I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes when I sweat a lot, it feels like the powder kind of clumps up a little. Not a pretty sight, let me tell you.
- The packaging is okay, nothing special. Just a little container. And the puff they give you is kinda small. I lost it already, had to use a different one.
They also make this other kind of powder, a “moisture powder” they call it. Says it’s for people with oily skin that’s also dry. Now, that sounds like me! My skin is all kinds of messed up. Oily in some places, dry in others. Maybe I should try that one next time.
This other powder they talk about, the “makeup fix powder,” it’s supposed to make your face look smooth and hide those big pores. And it’s got some kind of oil in it, to keep your skin from getting dry. I don’t know about that, sounds like it might make you oily again.
They also say this powder can keep your makeup on for hours. That would be nice, sometimes my makeup disappears after a few hours, especially if I’m sweating. And some of them give you a “natural tone up” and a “silky blur effect.” Makes you look like one of those photoshopped pictures, they say. I don’t need to look like no picture, just want to look presentable, you know?
Anyways, overall, I think this 3CE sebum powder is pretty good. It does what it says it’s gonna do, which is keep my face from getting too oily. It ain’t perfect, but it’s better than nothing. If you got oily skin like me, it’s worth a try, I reckon.
And listen, don’t go believing all that fancy talk they use to sell this stuff. Just try it out for yourself and see if it works. That’s the only way to know for sure.
